Skrrt Skirrts

This used to be a table cloth...

And then I turned it into a skirt! I loved the fabric and also ended up keeping the oblong shape. This created a gorgeous A-line shape that was long in the front and short on the sides.

Selkie inspired from a thrifted treasure...

I saw this queen sized flat sheet at Savers (thrift store) and instantly fell in love with the little cherubs and blue ribbons. Then I thought about the blue gingham bed sheet I had stashed away... THEN I watched Selkie's recent runway show and really needed a full and lucious set of ruffles of my own.

If I see a sheer curtain at the thrift I buy as much of it as I can...

I found this super cute sheer curtain at a thrift store and instantly saw the matching sets I wanted to make with it.

This skirt started as a pair of vintage parachute pants...

And ended as a super fun mermaid style flouncy skirt! With pockets!
